Day 20- 10.6.20

In the Deep

Down below its sleek surface

the sea is more city than jungle.

Everyone is busy all the time

predators are smooth and

chaos unfolds in plain sight.

Down under the grey waves

there's a stillness like a cloudless sky,

like the shell of a sleeping turtle.

Unlike in a city, though, the bottom feeders

do not fear the shark, and

the krill are not astonished

when the whale swallows them whole.
